HISTORY of WIMM
WIMM Canada entered the scene in June 2013 after a group of Canadian women we brought together with a common goal; to help Canadian Christian women in various forms of media and music connect with one another and to help create helpful resources to help grow their careers and ministries.
Hollie Sackett-Reid (Alberta) sought out women to work with her from different regions of Canada to be able to create a bridge from east to west and to find women representing various facets of the industry and bring a wide array of professional experience from music, production, media and communications. Barbara Dowling (Ontario), and Sherry Stahl (Ontario) are currently working on a national level to create opportunities for women in all the various facets of the music and media industries to connect with each other and encourage one another in their faith as they tackle the day-to-day hurdles and success in the field they were called to.
